The Tree of Life Counseling Center is lead by Dr. Chalisa Gadt-Johnson, a Licensed Psychologist in Kansas, with a doctoral degree from the University of Kansas in Counseling Psychology.

She serves on the Executive Board of the Greater Kansas City Psychological Association and is actively involved in the American Psychological Association and the Kansas Psychological Association.

In addition to private practice work, Dr. Gadt-Johnson has experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, Veteran's Administration Hospitals, outpatient community mental health, and correctional facilities. She has a special interest, and additional training, in working with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, including Level II training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
